How to backup outlook and run it from a USB Como fazer backup outlook e executá-lo a partir de um USB

A colleage asked me a question the other day. Um colleage pediu-me uma pergunta no outro dia.

The question is, Yo Mr. IT, do you know of a way to backup outlook’s data and let it run from a USB? A questão é, Yo Mr. TI, sabe de uma forma de backup de dados do outlook e deixá-lo a funcionar a partir de um USB?

My answer to him is… Yes and No! A minha resposta para ele é ... Sim e Não!

I explained to him further. Expliquei a ele ainda mais. Basically Yes, you can backup your outlook’s data by going to File > Data File Management. Select the name of your data file and click Settings . Basicamente Sim, você pode backup de dados do outlook, vá para Arquivo> Gestão de ficheiros de dados. Escolher o nome de seu arquivo de dados e clique em Configurações. You should be able to see a file path. Você deve ser capaz de ver um caminho de arquivo. Copy that path then click on Start > Run and paste it on the box. Copie esse caminho, em seguida, clique em Iniciar> Executar e cole-o na caixa. Remove the word Outlook.pst and click Enter. Remova a palavra Outlook.pst e clicar Enter. You should be able to see the folder where your outlook pst file is located. Você deve ser capaz de ver a pasta onde suas perspectivas pst está localizado. Simply copy the Outlook.pst file to your USB and thats how you can backup your outlook data into a USB drive. Now for the second question where you want to run it directly from the USB, well… the answer is NO, it’s not possible unless Microsoft comes out with a portable version of Outlook which allows us to run Outlook from the USB itself. Agora a segunda pergunta para a qual pretende executá-la diretamente a partir do USB, assim ... a resposta for NÃO, não é possível a menos que o Microsoft sai com um portátil versão do Outlook que nos permite executar o Outlook a partir do USB em si.

He was kinda dissapointed with the answer but he still thank me for showing him the way to backup his outlook.pst file. Ele era kinda dissapointed com a resposta, mas ele ainda me agradecer-lhe para mostrar o caminho para backup seu arquivo Outlook.pst.

Feeling discontent, I went back to my pc and started to Google for possible solutions to actually run outlook from a USB. Sentindo descontentamento, eu voltei para o meu pc e começou a Google, para encontrar possíveis soluções para efectivamente executar o Outlook a partir de um USB.

I couldn’t find anything which allows outlook to run directly from a USB, but there is something close. Não consegui encontrar nada que permite que o Outlook para ser executado directamente a partir de uma ligação USB, mas existe algo perto.
