A solution to discover electronic evidence - IBM eDiscovery
Since December, amendments have been made to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) which requires companies to preserve and produce electronically stored information when facing litigation.
Today 90% of all documents are created electronically (memos, letters, email messages, attachments, spreadsheets) and they require new discovery, retrieval and processing techniques.
With so much information to retain and store, organizations will find it very challenging to produce information accurately and effectively when the need arises.
Because of this, your enterprise might be seeking to implement e-discovery solutions to help in managing information proactively to help litigation response.
On 05 August 2008, IBM has introduced a new Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software to help enterprises meet challenging legal discovery requirement.
The solution is called IBM eDiscovery.
With the solution, an enterprise can:
- Capture, process, classify, organize and assign retention to electronic information as it is created.
- Search, cull, hold and export information related to multiple cases in parallel.
- Gain deeper insight into potential electronic evidence on demand.
IBM eDiscovery Manager will be available at the end of August. For more information on IBM’s eDiscovery software, visit http://www.ibm.com/software/data/content-management/ediscovery.html
